My name is Mark and I am both the owner of Villa Amistad and the owner of the property management company that oversees the property, Prime Property Rentals Puerto Vallarta. The property is maintained by my full-time staff and I. After booking, you will receive an email with a link to complete a pre-arrival registration. This will provide us with the necessary information to prepare for your arrival. Once completed you will have full access to your guest portal for Villa Amistad. It will have your security access code along with our digital guidebook with everything you need to enjoy your stay at the Villa and plan your vacation in Puerto Vallarta. We require a security deposit in the amount of 50% of the booking by credit or debit card. This is not a charge. It is a credit/funds hold we request by your bank to ensure you have enough funds available in the event of damage, loss, or expenses incurred during your stay. It is release soon after you check-out. This must be completed prior to arrival within the portal. We are constantly striving to enhance the guest experience and add more value to their stay. I have been working in the hospitality, tourism, and high-tech industry for over 30 years, having stayed at hotels, vacation homes, and traveling all over the world. I moved to Puerto Vallarta in 2018 and found the Villa by accident a year later. It was at that moment I discovered an opportunity to be able to live and work full-time in Mexico. After a year and a half of full on demolition and renovations on the property, the Villa reopened as Villa Amistad, December 2020. Our mission is to provide an exceptional vacation experience in the heart of Puerto Vallarta, utilizing best practices I have observed over the years working in the industry. We are constantly striving for improvement and always have a new project or idea we are working on. My staff is an amazing team and we are like a family, working together for the benefit of our guests.

Jonathan's Lugar, one of four apartments at Villa Amistad, is a 1-bedroom studio located in a private villa, with its own entry and en-suite bathroom. Guests will find themselves surrounded by a blend Mexican modern and traditional Vallartan architecture, soothing Mexican colors, tropical plants, and interesting art pieces. Entry to the property and the apartment is by keyless locks. The apartment is private but, like a condominium or apartment, guests share several outdoor spaces and the heated saltwater pool. The apartment has its own private terrace with café seating, super comfy king size bed with pillow-top mattress, luxury quality 100% Percale cotton linens, hand loom woven blanket, and extra pillows. There is also a small seating area for 2, Smart TV, Dining/worktable, open design closet, and a small kitchenette with the basics for coffee/tea, a toaster oven, microwave, and medium size fridge. The private en-suite bathroom provides an incredible shower experience with its large walk-in shower with rain shower, pressurized water and endless hot water. The water is safe to drink at the Villa as it is filtered onsite through our 5-stage filtration system and new pipes. Remote workers love our 1Gb Wi-Fi (1000 Mb) that blankets the entire property. A redundant internet service provides backup in the rare event that the primary service should go down. The two shared terraces include a 9-person dining table, gas BBQ, lounge seating, and a heated saltwater pool, available 24/7. Guests are welcome to drop off their belongings prior to check-in. Street parking is available on the surrounding streets only. Included is complimentary daily housekeeping, replenishment of many of our toiletries, coffee, and teas, air conditioning, and an in-room laptop size safe. Guests will receive an email at booking with pre-check-in registration that must be completed prior to arrival. A credit/debit card will be required for the credit hold Security Deposit.

The neighborhood, in the heart of Puerto Vallarta, is where the original fishing village was located. Over the years Puerto Vallarta has expanded to a vibrant beach front city with a backdrop against the Sierra Madre Mountains. In our Neighborhood, you will find a quirky mix of Mexican families that have lived here for generations, long-term international residents, snowbirds, and vacationers. Five of the top restaurants in PV are within a 5 minute walk. Most of the top galleries are also just a few blocks from us. The famous Malecon boardwalk can be reached by walking in 5 minutes. The Centro/Cerro area is filled with fantastic restaurants, bars, art galleries, and nightclubs, but, we are just far enough away to provide a quiet respite from all the noise and action below and in the neighboring Romantic Zone. Every place you could ever want to visit in the Romantic Zone and Centro area is as close at 5 minutes and no more than 25 mins walk at he furthest spot. The Romantic Zone can be reached within 5 mins walk and the most popular Gay Bars are about 10 to 15 mins walk or short Uber way. Los Muertos Beach is about 17 mins walk away.
