Set just off the beach, Maria Giovanna is in Marsalforn Bay on the laidback island of Gozo. This family-run guest house offers elegantly decorated rooms with air conditioning and a balcony. Run by 2 sisters, Maria Giovanna Guest House takes its name from their mother and grandmother who managed the property before them. One of the sisters is a pastry chef and prepares homemade cakes for breakfast each morning. Rooms feature elegant furniture and wrought iron beds. Our authentic Maltese Townhouse is furnished with a welcoming combination of modern comfort, traditional assets and has been recently renovated. All our 15 fully air-conditioned bedrooms are non-smoking rooms and enjoy rustic iron beds, antique furniture’s and the privacy of ensuite shower rooms. For a romantic couple retreat design yourself with our exclusive partial sea view rooms with private balcony. All Guests of Maria Giovanna’s holiday home can indulge in our homemade Continental and English breakfast with local specialties served in the traditional dining room. An inviting courtyard offers space to socialize, relax and savour the Mediterranean summers.
We have been somehow involved in the tourism industry since the tender age of 10, when our mother used to run a family hotel. In 2003 we ended up with our grandma’s family home in our hands, and decided to renovate it into a 5 bedroom Hostel. Due to the growing demand, in 2007 we made a major renovation and ended up with a 15 bedroom Guest house. Maria Giovanna takes after both our late Grandma and Mama, two strong pillars to whom we owe who we are today and we attribute our success in life to the moral, intellectual education we received from them. With passion, enthusiasm and the pinch of authentic local touch, we like our guests to experience an unforgettable holiday replying to your needs and wishes, surprising and exceeding your expectations.
The promenade invites for a stroll along the diverse selection of restaurants, bars and the scenic sandy and rocky beaches offering water sports activities and modern playgrounds for families. Marsalforn Bay has plenty of diving schools to choose from.
