Eden Yala is managed by Eden-essence PVT (ltd). Eden Yala is the first property of us and currently growing as a tourism business.

Yala National Park is the second largest national park in Sri Lanka and is famous mainly for leopards. Generally, national parks are surrounded by buffer zones or natural parks that few active human use, such as agriculture and cattle farming. Eden-Yala is sheltered in the national park's buffer zone, and the founders are descendants of a Chena farming family. Chena farming is a traditional farming practice that clears the forest during monsoon and cultivates grains and vegetables by villagers living closer to the forest. Even though it is traditional, the founders decided to move from Chena farming to Eco-tourism as it protects and improves the natural environment. Buffer zones are more critical as there is considerably higher fauna due to the edge effect. Eden-Yala has minimized the disturbance to wildlife and planted native trees. We provide tailor-made tents as accommodation and always try not to be urbanized. Sustainable camping is a great way to unplug, enjoy the wildlife and appreciate Nature. Eden-Yala is the best place for people who live in urban areas most of their lives to unplug their busy schedules for a movement. Also, Eden-Yala thoroughly believes the earnings should go to locals. If they don't have enough income, they destructively utilize natural resources for survival, especially in developing countries. Therefore, Eden-Yala provides jobs for locals in this area after giving them sound training. You can do more activities with Eden-Yala, such as safari drives to Yala and Bundala National Park, night safaris, Nature walks, and cultural site tours (Sithulpahuwa Ancient Rock Monastery).
