Arhimser located in Kahandamodara beach, Ranna, Tangalle is spacious, (550 sq metres,) airy, high ceilinged, light filled with four large AC bedrooms and sitting and dining areas. An undercover open veranda overlooks the pool and ocean 20 metres away. Located on an acre of prime beachfront land, the landscaped gardens and lawn with exotic tropical plants and trees provide glorious views of the ocean. Pockets of privacy for complete rejuvenation of mind and spirit enable the guests to spend their time individually or as a group indulging in their own pursuits. The warmth of the sun, freshness of the pure ocean air, the sound of the waves, free movement of the wild life, song of the birds, sunrises and sunsets, and the super comfort, practical, tasteful design and cleanliness of the villa make a visit to Arhimser a joy and an experience to be remembered. For wild life lovers, the country's two largest game reserves, Yala and Udawalawe where leopard, elephant, bear and other animals roam is a half day or day trip. Short day trips are arranged to the best known bird sanctuaries as well as for dolphin/whale sightings, surfing, snorkelling, angling. golfing at the18 hole international golf course, the heritage city of Galle. A two hour trip to the town of Ella famous for its water falls, tea plantations and jungle mountains is worth a visit. We provide free pick up from the International BIA airport or Colombo for stays over 7 days for guests arriving together as the group. For lesser stays transportation is arranged at rates to be agreed. For stays over 14 days free pick up and drop off is provided. For kids there are many fun games including beachball, volleyball, badminton, carrom, chess, darts, card games, jigsaw puzzles, kite flying, fishing, trekking, cycling, bird watching, swimming, surfing and canoeing are pursuits to engage in. A 30 KVA auto switchover generator is installed for power back up.
The meaning of Arhimser is kindness and care to all things living, plant, animal or human. Our staff and management are committed to ensuring that guests are treated with respect, kindness and care during their stay with us. Staff at all times give their best to ensure that guests needs and requirements are catered to. Our staff assist with arranging road transportation and accommodating special meal requests, if advance notice is given. We do not get a commission from any of the service providers recommended and will always ensure that you are getting best value for money for the service. We are a fully serviced beach villa with daily cleaning services. We have excellent chefs who provide all meals, western and local for those discerning guests who wish to experience the delights of the Sri Lankan cuisine as well as a western menu. Breakfast is included in the room rate and lunches and dinners are provided around a cost of USD 8-14 per meal per person with light lunches and snacks available around USD 4-6. Vegetarian meals are also available. Guests also have the option to buy their own groceries and use the services of our excellent chef to prepare their meals. A charge of USD 20 per day applies for this facility. We do not sell spirits but guests can bring their own supplies for consumption at the villa at no extra cost. The villa is exclusively for the use of the residents and we do not allow outsiders to use our facilities. For health reasons we do not allow food from outside to be consumed on the premises, but there are several cafes and restaurants where meals can be ordered and consumed. Our manager can recommend restaurants which are safe eating places as we are conscious that guests need to be careful when eating outside. Our priority is your safety, comfort and enjoyment.
The largest game reserves in Sri Lanka, Uda Walawe and Yala are about a 90-100 minute drive from the villa. An eighteen hole golf at the Shangri La Hotel is a 30 minute drive. There are plenty of surf beaches in the neighbourhood as well as bays where sea bathing is safe during certain times of the year. The beach outside the villa is also safe to bathe when the sea is calm but there are days when the seas get rough and bathing is not recommended. The Kalametiya and Bundala bird sanctuaries are within a 40 minute drive. A visit to the local market, watching the fishermen return from the sea with the day's catch and the fishermen catching prawns at dusk are well worth seeing. Lagoon prawns, crabs and lobster dishes can be prepared if advance notice is given and available at an additional cost. We have secured special rates for vehicles from outside service suppliers for day trips to the Galle Heritage site, game reserves, Mirissa and Dickwella for whale and dolphin watching and the surf beaches in the neighbourhood. Walking tours and boat trips to the lagoon for bird watching can also be arranged. A walk on the beach on a full moon night may see turtles laying their eggs on shore. The popular hill town of Ella with its 9 arch railway bridge, the Ravana waterfalls, the tea plantations and the walking treks on the rolling mountains and valleys with magnificent fauna and flora is a day trip.
