Seven Pillars Galle Fort is an atmospheric three-bedroom Dutch colonial townhouse, sits at the heart of Galle’s magnificent 17th century colonial fortress, on Sri Lanka’s south-western coast. Decorated to take you back to the style of the colonial era, the villa’s size, graceful period features and striking custom-made furnishings paint a picture of the past whilst its well-appointed bedrooms, comfortable lounges and modern facilities lavish it with every essential mod con. Ideal for families and groups of friends looking to stay right in the heart of this historic site, this staffed heritage house is mere footsteps away from the fort’s beach, landmarks, eateries and boutiques. Please note: Seven Pillars No.39 Galle Fort is a 3-bedroom villa that can accommodate up to 6 guests. Guests booking the 4-person rate will have access to 2 bedrooms (1 bedroom will be locked)
I am the owner of this heritage property, my family has generational ties to the Fort dating back to the 17th Century. I am an avid traveller myself and have lived in 7 countries and been a tourist in so many more. I understand from personal experience the expectations and needs of a traveller choosing to stay in a holiday villa. From the inception 10 years ago, I've been involved in every aspect of the design of the interiors, the quality of the bedding ,the food we serve , the flower arrangements throughout the property, the curated experiences we provide to our guests and training of our loyal staff. Our villa team and I take pride in our success as hosts to guests from all over the world. We are happy to arrange airport transfers, excursions and tours, recommend /book restaurants for you and generally offer you a concierge service during your stay with us. Our guest reviews are consistently excellent because of our attention to detail and the personalised but unobtrusive service we offer. We feel confident that you will have a great experience staying with us and will leave vowing to return!
Seven Pillars.Galle Fort is located mid-way along Lighthouse Street, in historic Galle Fort, just 150 metres from the grass-topped western-facing ramparts and a further 200 metres from the town’s famous international test cricket stadium. The fort is a world heritage site and dates back over 400 years; a walk along its narrow cobbled streets reveals the fascinating hybrid architecture of three colonial eras – fretwork-fringed and pillarred Dutch abodes, British-era monuments, ochre-hued spice warehouses and interesting museums showcasing the fort’s rich history. There are many restaurants and cafes, as well as boutiques selling handicrafts, delicate lacework, glittering gems and other evocative souvenirs. Within 15 kilometres are a selection of mesmerising beaches, tranquil lagoons and historic temples.
