Zambarao Farm House is a lovely bespoke farm house set at the edge of the Great Rift Valley with spectacular views of Lake Naivasha, the Great Rift Valley and the Aberdare Mountain Range. The house is nicely decorated and each room has its own unique features and deco. The house is surrounded by summer flowers which give it an amazing look when in bloom from September to February. It is a self-catering holiday home with a cook available on request. There is a quaint kitchen garden where you can pick vegetables in season for your meals. The main feature of the house is the large furnished veranda/patio with great views of the lake where you can hang out, wine and dine as you enjoy the view of the lake and the great sunsets. The fireplace in the lounge is great to hang around in the evenings. There is also a fire pit outside where you can gather around to stay warm in the evenings and enjoy your drinks and meals. It's great place for going on walks, biking, hiking and bird watching and is known as a designated Important Bird Area (IBA). A local professional bird-watching guide is available on request. It is a 45 mins - 1 hour drive from hiking trails in the Aberdares i.e., Mt. Kinangop, Mt, Kipipiri, Elephant Hill and the Aberdare, Naivasha and Hells Gate national parks. We enjoy curating beautiful spaces that will make you feel like your home away from home.... We grow summer flowers which surround the house to give it a really special feel....especially when in full bloom from September to February. We also rear doper sheep - the best lamb ever - you can order in advance! We are actively engaged with the supporting the local community children and sponsor a school feeding programme and library at the local primary school - Kimuri Primary School.

The Zambarao farm house is set on the edge of the Great Rift Valley escarpment overlooking Lake Naivasha and Great Rift Valley, with the Aberdare Mountain Range behind it. It’s about 14km off the Nairobi-Naivasha Road and a scenic drive up the escarpment. It has stunning views of Lake Naivasha, the great Rift Valley, the Mau Range and the Aberdares. It's a great location for walking, hiking and bird watching. Its located on the the Kinangop Plateau which is famous for its bird life and endemic species. Its about a 30 minutes drive from Naivasha town, about 45 minutes to Lake Naivasha; about an hour away from Lake Elementaita and about 75 minutes to Lake Nakuru. It takes about 45 minutes to drive to the Aberdare Forest, Elephant Hill gate well known starting point for hiking trails and bird watching.
