Tokami House offers ample accommodation, centrally located just a few minutes’ walk from the Yasugi train station and walking distance to the heart of the city. Our house includes free private parking, free wifi, self check-in, and numerous unique amenities.
The spacious and recently renovated home is composed of 6 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, a washing machine and an outdoor deck with furniture. The accommodation is non-smoking.
The reverse cycle air-conditioned house also offers both flat-screen and classic TVs, retro video games, a laserdisc/record/manga library to enjoy and plush toys for kids to play with, as well as some extra surprises. When not relaxing at Tokami House, there are numerous wonderful things to do, eat, and visit in the Yasugi area. Tokami House is within walking distance of many restaurants, bars, convenience stores, shops, and local attractions. It is also a short stroll away from multiple local nature features, such as its namesake, Mt. Tokami, as well as Nakaumi Lake, Nagisa park and a lakefront beach area.

Tokami House is centrally located in the beautiful city of Yasugi, only a short 400m stroll (a 6 minute walk or 1 minute drive) from the main Yasugi train station. Yasugi Station allows for easy access to the Shimane capital of Matsue (15 minutes by train, 1 stop) or Tottori's major city of Yonago (10 minutes by train, 1 stop). Tokami House is named after Yasugi’s cherished local mountain (Mt. Tokami) and the area combines the amenities of a city with the heart of the Inaka (countryside). The house is not only located near multiple museums, restaurants, and activities, but also local walking trails, lakes, beaches, parks, camping locations, and even farms. A few minutes’ walk from the property on Lake Nakaumi is beautiful Nagisa Park, which boasts a beach, covered barbecue facilities, restroom facilities, and camping grounds. Just behind the park are multiple serene walking trails that traverse the heights of Mount Tokami. The Wakou Museum of Steel is just a short 12 minute walk away. The nationally-recognized Adachi Museum of Art, which is known for its award-winning Japanese gardens, is a quick free bus ride from Yasugi Station. You’ll also find beautiful and historically significant Yasugi sites, like Zuikoan-Kiyomizudera and the Gassantoda Castle Ruins, just a short drive away. There are even multiple strawberry, grape, and mikan picking tours available locally at nearby family-run farms. Many restaurants, bars, and shops are a quick walk or bike ride away from the house, including multiple late-night izakayas, ramen shops, and bars of Yasugi.
