Here’s the translation with a more relaxed tone: We are deeply in love with the natural beauty of Lake Toya, a true gem of Hokkaido. The scenery changes with the seasons, offering a tranquil and mesmerizing experience just by being there. Feeling a strong connection between this beautiful nature and people, we created TOYA KAIROU in 2018. Then, in 2024, we launched our second project, a guesthouse and event space called “SHIZEN TOYA.” What we aim to offer is something you can’t find in large hotels—a special experience that comes from personal connections. We spent years renovating, enjoying the process, and overcoming challenges along the way. We hope our guests can feel the “Joy” that came out of this journey. We’ve traveled through Europe, America, and Asia with just a backpack, staying in many different places. Those experiences shaped our vision to create a guesthouse from a traveler’s perspective, one that makes you think, “This is the kind of place I’ve been looking for.” We also offer unique, local tours that you won’t find in any guidebook.
