We don’t own the driving licence, but is it possible to get there by local bus?
You can either take a taxi or bus from Amami Airport. It takes about 3000 yen by taxi, and about 500 yen by bus (Bus Stop: Akaogi Kyoku-mae, in front of Akaogi post office).
