Company info

Hello! I am Takeshi WAKAMIYA and was born in Takamatsu in 1983. I have backpacked all over, visiting such places as Mongolia, Ghana, Bulgaria, Tibet, etc. Then, at the age of 27, I went to Senegal in West Africa as a rural development volunteer. It was while living in a village in Senegal for two years, getting to know the Senegalese approach to work, family life and so on, that I got the idea of opening a guest house in my hometown. In 2014, we opened Wakabaya with the desire to create the kind of guesthouse we love to stay in. Ever since, I, my wife and our three children have enjoyed welcoming many guests from all over the world.
