Danne Danne is a family owned private-guesthouse located in historical Japanese city Ono. "Danne Danne" is a word in the local dialect that a grandmother gently says to her grandchild, "It's okay, don't worry." Or “Take it easy.” Ono city is called Little Kyoto because it closely resembles the city of Kyoto. You can walk to the city center from the guest house( about 10-15 minutes) At Danne Danne, you can experience traditional Japanese styled house with clean, cosy rooms and facilities. Simultaneously, you can enjoy historical antiques from the time when it used to run a Japanese pastry shop. Owner is willing to receive your requests for comfortable stay prior to your arrival so please feel free to send a message after reservation. Shakudani-Washi is the only paper used as shoji paper in Japan at this time (2024).

Ono City is called "Little Kyoto in the Hokuriku Region" for its historical townscape and, above all, for its clean and delicious spring water (groundwater). The water that comes out of the taps at the inns is also clean groundwater. There is also a historic public bath nearby. There are many fresh water springs in the city where you can drink the water. We hope that city dwellers will experience the "water" of Ono. In terms of tourism, Ono is close to a dinosaur museum, a fossil excavation facility, a ski resort (Ski Jam Katsuyama), Rokuroshi Plateau (with the best starry sky in Japan), Eiheiji Temple (the head temple of the Soto sect), Ono Castle (a castle in the sky floating in the clouds), and Mount Arashima (one of the 100 most famous mountains in Japan), providing interesting experiences in all four seasons. Ono City is also home to many delicious restaurants. Upon request, we can recommend nearby restaurants for our guests. As for souvenirs from Ono City, "yakiniku horumon (pork belly)", "imo kintsuba (sweet potato jelly)", "dechi yokan (sweet potato jelly)", and "jizake (locally brewed sake)" are must-try items.
