Our stables are right next to the B&B and we can take you on some fantastic rides; from a few hours riding here in the mountains with great views over Petra, 1 or 2 days riding in the beautiful Little Petra area to exciting 4 or 6 day horse trekkings from Petra to Wadi Rum.

I'm originally from Antwerp (Belgium) and I moved to Jordan in 2004. I traveled and like many, I wanted to discover the authenticity of each country and get acquainted with the people and their culture. During my first trip to Jordan, I met Eid, one of the many things we have in common is our love for horses. My husband Eid is a local from Wadi Musa and as a young boy he started working in Petra with his family's horse bringing tourists from the entrance to the Treasury. He now guides horse tours here in the mountains and also from Petra to Wadi Rum. His family has always lived in this area and so he knows the mountains around Petra very well.

Wadi Musa is a fairly small town right next to one of the new world wonders and without a doubt Jordan’s most valuable treasure and greatest tourist attraction; Petra. In 1812 a Swiss explorer named Johannes Burckhardt set out to ‘rediscover’ Petra; he dressed up as an Arab and convinced his Bedouin guide to take him to the lost city, After this, Petra became increasingly known in the West as a fascinating and beautiful ancient city, and it began attracting visitors and continues to do so today. Petra is also known as the rose-red city, a name it gets from the wonderful color of the rock from which many of the city’s structures were carved. The Nabataeans buried their dead in intricate tombs that were cut out of the mountain sides and the city also had temples, a theater, and following the Roman annexation and later the Byzantine influence, a colonnaded street and churches. In addition to the magnificent remains of the Nabataean city, human settlement and land use for over 10,000 years can be traced here. On December 6, 1985, Petra was designated a World Heritage Site, also Petra was chosen by the Smithsonian Magazine as one of the places you should visit before you die!
