Symbol is an 80's sound system, very famous throughout Montego Bay and Jamaica. The African Symbol Sound System was the champion sound of the mid 80's. Please see Youtube for African symbol sounds. And he owned the national football team African United and the netball team in the 1980s. Both teams won the Jamaica National League in 1987. He has helped many young people in sports and music. People simply call him a "symbol" and is respected in Jamaica. He is the owner of the African Symbol Recording Studio in downtown Montego Bay.

The main road on the north coast, a 5-minute walk away, is lined with Scotchie`s, a jerk restaurant, oceanfront restaurants with ｎnice ocean views, souvenir stores, craft markets, supermarkets, lunch shops, ice cream stores, bars, vegetarian cafes, gas stations, and more, Everything you need for your daily life is available. There is also a US dollar exchange store and a cell phone SIM card store within walking distance. The Coral Gardens Police Station is on the corner just off the coast road. It is a safe community with a police station nearby. The Coral Garden Community Beach with a small sandy beach is located in front of the police station road. Please wear rubber-soled sports sandals or water shoes to enter the water, as there is a lot of algae and stones. A car is required to reach Montego Bay's famous Doctor's Cave Beach or town center. Taxis are easy to catch,on the coastline main road near the police station.
