‘La Nassa’ guesthouse is located on the seafront in Ficogrande, just opposite Strombolicchio. As it is by the seaside and very close to the centre of the village, our guesthouse provides the ideal place where to spend a pleasant and relaxed holiday in Stromboli. Built in the typical Aeolian style and surrounded by a large, flowering garden, all rooms are en-suite and have access to a terrace from where to enjoy fabulous views of the sea or the volcano.

Stromboli, an ever-active volcano that sprouts from the blue sea, is the most enchanting and impressive of the Aeolian islands, a stunning archipelago listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Its coastline alternates between cliffs of lava, long beaches of black sand, and tiny, intimate creeks. In a wild landscape, its looming volcano makes its presence felt with grumbles, outbursts of fire, smoke and lapilli, bewitching both inhabitants and tourists. On the north-eastern coast of the island, its main village stretches for about 3 kilometres. Two main streets run parallel through it, joined by steep lanes and with the typical white houses surrounded by flowers, citrus and olive groves along them. From Scari, landing stage for ferries and hydrofoils, you can reach the areas of Ficogrande and Piscità, just walking along the seafront street. Alternatively, walking up the road that climbs to the top of the village, you can get up to the small square in San Vincenzo, which provides marvellous views of the sea and the islet of Strombolicchio. On the southern side of the island lies Ginostra, a tiny village, almost isolated from the rest of the island and accessible by sea only.
