Nostoscasale is the very first passivehaus on the Sorrento coast. With views of the sea of the Sorrento Peninsula and nestled in a 3000 m² olive grove, Nostoscasale aims to create a unique hospitality experience entirely focused on the attention, care, and well-being of our guests. The house embodies and binds together the tradition of spaces and architectural shapes of the rural houses of Sorrento and the modern technique of bioenergetic building construction (Passivehaus). The restoration of the house relied on the Passivhaus technique. In doing so, Nostos has become not only as the very first case of Passivehaus in the Campania Region, but also as an enclave of comfort and sustainability on the Sorrento coast.

We opened the door of our family house. We understand the idea of caring as contained in a dense net of concrete acts of silent kindness and local relationships. In seeking to provide to our guests a stay totally focused on wellness, guests would be free to choose everyday a different space to relax and immerge themselves in a unique spot of Mediterranean nature. Three thousand meters of olive grove weaves together, not only, with biodynamic cultivation of vegetables and aromatic plants, but also with the heating and cooling comfort of our room created by the Passivehaus system. Additionally, rich and tasty breakfast served with product we grow in our veg field and with selected local producer it is indented to create a space of well-being and rural simplicity. Guests would be free to choose between two large double bedrooms, both with private bathrooms and private access to the room. Architectural choices and the design materials have been chosen to ensure a comfortable atmosphere, and to provide our guests a feeling of both intimacy and peacefulness. The thick white walls and the system of controlled ventilation (Passivehaus) contribute to protect and keep the rooms cool and quiet.

The villa lies few minutes walking from the small and charming village of Sant’Agata. In the village guests would find as many public and private services you might need as restaurants, pharmacy, bars, pub, disco bar, postal office, supermarket, among the others. The village of Sant’Agata is located in a strategic and compelling position as a way to reach the wonderful villages of Sorrento (12 km), Amalfi (30 km), Positano (17 km), Massa Lubrense (6 km). The islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida are easily reachable with both starting from Sorrento, Massa Lubrense or Nerano. Places of historical and cultural relevance as Pompei, Ercolano and the National Park of the Vesuvio are infrastructurally connected by the train Circumvesuviana which start from Sorrento or Napoli; or they might be reach easily by car from the villa (34 km to Pompei and 47 to Ercolano). Additionally, from the villa, in a few minutes by car, you would enjoy of the crystal-clear beach of Marina del Cantone, Crapolla, Baia di Ieranto and Roccomone bay among others. Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi represents also a perfect spot for trekking and naturalistic walking lovers.
