Casa dei Gelsi (Mulberry House) is a typical Aeolian house surrounded by lush Mediterranean vegetation at Baia di Ponente, known for the evocative Spiagge Nere (Black Sand Beach) and the sweet sunsets on the rocks of Lipari.
Our trusted person on site (Mira) takes care of welcoming guests and remains available during the stay.
The house is 100m from the beach, where a diving center and boat rentals can be found. Vulcano Porto is just a few minutes by foot or by bicycle. All amenities are available here: restaurants, post office, supermarket, pharmacy as well as bicycles, scooters and cars rentals. From the marina you can make day trips to other islands of the Aeolian archipelago. The house can be used as starting point of numerous excursions on the island, i.e. the Gran Cratere (the Great Crater), the Valle dei Mostri (the Valley of the Monsters) and the picturesque beaches of Gelso. Best way to enjoy Vulcano is renting bicycles and small boats. For water sport lovers: snorkelling, diving, sea kayak and paddling.
