The cottage is a holiday home, located in Aðaldalur, 10 minutes away from Húsavík and 45 minutes from Akureyri. This property offers access to a terrace with outdoor furniture, free private parking and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking. The cottage is a self-catering accommodation with no front desk. This cozy cabin is in a quiet and really beautiful environment where you can listen to nature and relax. It is really nice in the wintertime when the trees are covered with snow and you can see the northern lights. The cabin has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, well equipped kitchen and living room. There is room for 4 adults and two children. There is also a sofabed in the living room. The kitchen features an oven, a toaster, coffee machine and kettle. Other facilities are a hot tub and on the terrace is a barbeque and outdoor furniture. You can play frisbee golf and mini golf in the public area/garden nearby. Bed linen and Towels are offered in this self catering accommodation. They are on site in a bag. Your bag is labeled with your name and date. On departure: Guests are required to put the linen and towels back in the bag and in storage on their departure.

We the owners live in Akureryi 60km away from the cabin. If there is any problem you can contact us by phone/SMS or email. Important: There is no cleaning services available. The house must be cleaned very carefully before leaving so that the next guests to arrive will come to a clean house.

The cabin is located about 10 km (10 minutes) from Húsavík which is a nice little town, best known for its whale-watching opportunities and puffin tours. It is often called the whale watching capital of the world. In about 98% of the time you can see a whale. The harbour in Húsavík is in the heart of the town and is the core of the local community. You can go on a walking tour to see the oldest house ever built in Iceland, by Swedish explorer Garðar Svavarsson in winter 870. Geosea is a world-class geothermal bathing mecca in Húsavík. It has a great view over the Skjálfandi Bay and the Arctic Circle. You can also have a nice bath in Mývatn Nature Bath which is nearby. One of the most famous salmon river in Iceland (Laxá in Aðaldalur) is 300m away from the cabin. The property is conveniently located for day trips to most of the major attractions in iceland. It is connected to the Diamond Circle where you can see all the fantastic natural pearls in a 250 km (about 155 mi) long ring road in North east of Iceland. This magnificent circle connects this area, the town of Húsavík, lake Mývatn, Ásbyrgi canyon and the waterfalls Goðafoss and Dettifoss.
