Ghum (also spelt Ghoom) is a small hilly locality in the Darjeeling Himalayan hill region of West Bengal, India. Ghum railway station of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway is the highest railway station in India. It is situated at an altitude of 2,258 metres (7,407ft). The place is the home of the Ghum Monastery and the Batasia Loop. The Ghoom Monastery is located approximately 7 km from the Darjeeling town. It takes about 30 minutes to reach the monastery by car from Darjeeling town centre, through Hill Cart road. Before reaching the Ghoom railway station, you will need to take a right turn into a narrow road, at the end of which lies the monastery,the entry gate of the Ghoom Monastery, visitors are likely to come across a huge 'Maitreya Buddha' statue, which is one of the highlighted features of this sacred site. At a grand elevation of 8,000 feet, the Yiga Choeling or old Ghoom Monastery is the oldest Tibetan Buddhist Monastery of Darjeeling.

We are in the business of making memories our property has 5 wooden Bed Rooms, and 2 Concrete balcony rooms 1 dining room 1 living room. The area of our property makes us unique than others, we are surrounded by pines and bamboos its no more less than a adventure camp we offer bon-fires, barbecues, we want our guest to get entertained hence we play music, karaoke is available for all the singers out there ,readers can also have a good time as we have a good collections of books we provide foods and drinks as well according to guest orders the food we love to serve gorkha traditional food and it is made of all organic veggies. we basically do small sessions to entertain our guest we teach them to prepare some of our healthy traditional foods and drinks if the guests are curious.We try our level best to serve our guests and try every possible way to make their stay memorable and joyful! as you stay in our Homestay you are doing Social Work as well ! Because the amount you spend in our property 5% of your money goes to @Namaste Foundation, who help the street sleepers/Street Dwellers and old age home.
