Ridge View Chalet Homestay - Home away from Home. Our homestay lies at an altitude of 7267 ft. offering a great panoramic view of the Singalila ridge and the 3rd Highest Mountain in the world, Kanchenjunga. As the guest enters the reception and walks down two floors and then climbs up few stairs the wooden apartment is located there . As one enters the chalet there is this balcony facing the Singalila ridge, from where we can see the mesmerizing sunset on the ridge in the evenings. In this balcony, we have the two private washrooms, one dining room and two cozy wooden bedrooms. One of the bedrooms has a stair leading to an Attic bedroom(children will love this) and another balcony with view. Tonglu, Phalut and Sandakphu (Highest point in West Bengal, India) are visible from both the balconies and rooms. A clear view of Kanchenjunga is possible from our rooftop viewpoint. Away from the noisy hustle bustle of the town, this place is ideal for families or anyone who wants to relax in a peaceful cozy environment. We provide our guests with delicious 'Home cooked' fresh food - easy on the stomach, delightful for the tongue. Sightseeing can be arranged for the guests on request for places such as Tiger Hill sunrise point, Ghum monastery, Batasia Loop War Memorial, Rock Garden, Toy Train, Himalayan Zoo, Museum, Ropeway, Tibetan Refugee Centre, Tenzing Rock, Tea Gardens, Mirik Lake to name a few. Japanese temple (Peace Pagoda) is at a walking distance through serene pathways. The famous Chourasta Square and Mall Road are also close by ( 1 km approx. ). One can go there by cab or by walk. The entire apartment is wooden (Hill Station Styled). It is meant for ONE GROUP OF GUESTS AT A TIME, so that the privacy of the guests' is not hindered, and they can have the entire homestay for themselves.

Me, I was working as a Cabin Crew in my earlier days. After marriage, I taught in a school. Since I always loved travelling to new places I quite understand what traveler's look for in their stays. Hence, I have started my own homestay and I am pretty sure that I can cater to the needs of travelers and tourists since I love interacting with new people, sharing and learning from each others' experiences in life. So, with a helping hand from my husband and sister, I take utmost care of our guests to make their stay a pleasant memorable one.

Our homestay's neighborhood is in a peaceful area a little above Darjeeling town. What guests love about our place is the serene environment and the lovely views from the place. Since it is close by to the town, one can also explore it if they want to do so.
