Come, be a part of this mid-20th century 7000sq ft. restored heritage property that was renovated over two years to welcome you. Located inside the Ashram area(Gurupally), Parul amalgamates the old with modern. Located at the heart of Shantiniketan, Parul blends heritage with all modern comforts. 1 large living room, 3 bedrooms with veranda (2 bedrooms on the first floor), 2 modern bathrooms, fully-equipped kitchen (RO purifier), terrace area & a large garden with a treehouse. Handmade tiles, antique furniture, paintings, treehouse, old books, instruments will take you in the yesteryear while high-speed WiFi, ACs & modern baths add to your comfort. The first floor and the ground floor can be booked separately. You can also book the entire villa (first floor + ground floor). Kitchen usage, laundry, airport shuttle, food are available at additional charges.
I have been an Airbnb/Homestay host for more than 4 years now and Parul is our new property that was built with a lot of personal touch and care. The house is located in the sanctum sanctorum of Shantiniketan (called the "ashram" area). The neighbourhood consists of every visitable place created by Tagore (Tagore’s museum - Uttarayan, Kachhghor, Chhatim tola, Patha Bhavan, Ghanta ghor, Natya ghor) is within walking distance. ATM, vegetable stores and the resident local handicraft market are also a short walk away. To visit Deer Park, Amartya Sen’s house, or attend the weekend mela (fair), you would need a 5-10min Toto ride. Getting around is best by walking. If you get tired, Totos (e-rickshaw) are available to ferry you around. We can also arrange for Toto to take you around the different places in and around Shantiniketan.
