The hotel was great. Clean and about 300 meters away from the entrance to the National Park. The staff was exceptional. I am gluten free and they went really over their way to cook me gluten-free meals. Though they could not provide any almond or soya milk - so it is best to bring your own if you can or drink black tea or with lime juice. Would highly recommend the hotel. The swimming pool is small but great for a cooling down swim - with the added spectacle of monkeys walking up and down the balconies of the building nearby. WiFi is strong enough to have video calls so you can also combine leisure with work.

The bird park is exceptional. So clean and a joy to be in. We saw sooooo many birds. Our guide Rinkesh was very knowledgeable and found so many birds for us. We also saw antelope, deer and a couple of jackal. We decided to walk and were up for the 06.00 opening. We covered about 10km on foot over 4 hours. Wear good shoes or boots if you are going to do this. Rinkesh carried a Japanese telescope with him which was just brilliant for the long distance birds. The plus on going in late April was that although the migratory birds were not there, the water was low so the wading birds were very close.

For bird lovers or nature lover or photographer it`s a wonderful place. Need not be an Ornithologist. Specially during winter - December & January. For me it`s a bit special since I have been visiting this place infrequently since 30 yrs back when I have seen majestic Siberian Crane too. Use Bicycle or walk

1 night stay to visit Bird sanctuary in the morning.
1 night stay to visit Bird sanctuary in the morning. We reached early in the morning to Bird Sanctuary - 730 AM and hence could chose good condition bicycles. We took a guide who was very knowledgeable and was with telescope and binoculars. We enjoyed cycling and lot of beautiful birds.
The rooms are very clean and well-maintained. The food is, in a word, amazing. The bird sanctuary is only about 5 mins away from the guesthouse which is very convenient. The host, Mr. Devendra, is very friendly and accommodating. Overall, Iora Guesthouse is probably the ideal place to stay if you're visiting Bharatpur. Highly recommended!
This is not a value-for-money hotel. Very less occupancy and hence service is not up to mark. I don't know why charges are so high when occupancy is below 50%
