Eviana Homestay is situated on a forested and green hill slope outside the village Badamtam near Darjeeling. It's not only a homestay, but a farm stay too. We are keeping cows, pigs, chickens and we are growing our own vegetables, fruits and herbs. When you're staying with us you will enjoy our farm-fresh and organic homemade food. And we have unlimited running fresh spring water. Upon request, you can also taste many varieties of traditional food and drinks. We are proud of our tranquil natural environment and many of our guests feel that it's a healthy retreat to recharge, slow down and spend time in nature. It's also an opportunity to spend time close to a rural environment and learn about traditional Nepalese way of life. Around the farm and in the area there are numerous hiking paths and just 10 minutes down the slope you will find the beautiful river Rungdung where you can swim and enjoy the natural environment. We can also offer short day hikes in the local area. It could be to a big nearby river near the Sikkim border called Rangit, or two different viewpoints of Kanchenjunga and Chuli Dara. These places are also easily accessible if you prefer to walk independently, but we’re happy to accompany you. We have two rooms. One twin room and one double room. New, spacious, cozy, and plenty of windows that offer light, fresh air and bird singing. But check out our pictures to get a better idea, or give us a ring if you have any questions. It's easy to reach us either by shared or private taxi from Darjeeling and the ride takes about 40 minutes (17km) from Darjeeling Bus Stand near Chowk Bazaar. If you choose a shared taxi then they will drop you off by the main road. In that case, it’s good to contact us so that we can come and pick you up there. We are Reena and Saral and our 2.5 year old daughter. We enjoy to see our guests happy and will do our best to give you a comfortable and enriching stay with us. We are keeping cows, pigs, chickens are growing a big variety of vegetables, fruits and herbs. When you're staying with us you will get homemade food that is farm fresh and organic and we are happy to introduce you to our traditional foods. But you can also have Indian and continental food.

You can of course go to Darjeeling and visit the major tourist attractions. But in our experience most of guests prefer to stay here and explore the surroundings and enjoy the nature. We can also visit some of the other villagers if you're interested in craftsmanship, small scale organic farming, construction and the diverse Nepalese culture.
