Our farmhouse is nestled at the foot of the Blackstairs Mountains, which is a 2 minute drive form the picturesque village of Kiltealy on the Wexford/Carlow border in the South East of Ireland. Kiltealy village has its own Church, two pubs and a local shop. Interests in the area include horse-riding,fishing,cycling and hill climbing. Come stay at our farmhouse where you can relax outside by the chiminea, sit in by the stove or go for a mountain walk if you have the energy!! 1.5 hours will get you to Dublin, 45 mins to Rosslare Europort and 40 mins to Wexford/Carlow/Kilkenny and Waterford.
I'm Carol Ann and I'm a primary school teacher. I'm married to Gabriel who's a farmer and we have three sons. I love animals and enjoy gardening.
The area is well known to hill walkers and the village itself has it's own walking trail. There are plenty of places for History enthusiasts to visit including Enniscorthy Castle,Vinegar Hill, The Heritage Park in Wexford, Kilkenny Castle but to mention a few. For the shopping enthusiasts, Wexford town,Kilkenny and Waterford cities are a must! We are 20-25 mins drive from any of the wonderful beaches in Co. Wexford. Bunclody and Enniscorthy (15 mins drive) both have beautiful golf courses. Horse riding is 10 minutes down the road. Plenty to see and do!
