Your host's welcome you to this well-appointed and beautiful apartment. Situated above Nanny Quinn’s restaurant and bar on the banks of the Royal Canal, the apartment offers a view of the canal harbour, is on the Royal Canal Way adjacent to the 18th Lock and is located between the villages of Kinnegad and Killucan (Eircode N91KD26). It is less than an hour’s drive from Dublin and 20 minutes from Mullingar. Nanny’s Restaurant and bar is open Thursday to Sunday and Bank Holidays from 12 noon and offers beautiful food in a relaxed comfortable atmosphere. Visit Nanny’s Facebook page for more information. The apartment sleeps up to six people. The accommodation comprises of a spacious and well equipped living/dining/kitchen area which has magnificent views over the canal harbour and the surrounding countryside. There is a shower room, two bedrooms (one double, one two singles) with two sofa beds in the living area, one opens to a four foot bed, the other a full double. Being above a bar and restaurant, there is sound proofing between the two bedrooms and downstairs. There is a terrace off the main bedroom, this overlooks the canal harbour Bike storage is available for cyclists.
Your host, Rosemary, is delighted to welcome guests to this lovely area. She is the proprietor of Nanny Quinn's bar and restaurant and you are welcome to have a meal with us in this very well reviewed venue.
Nanny Quinn’s Bar & Restaurant is downstairs and is open Thursday to Sunday from 12 noon and on Bank Holidays. Why not book a meal during your stay. Enjoy a steak, Nanny’s famous homemade burger, fish and chips, pizzas, daily specials, delicious starters and desserts and an extensive wine menu. The picturesque setting and rural tranquillity of Nanny Quinn’s makes this destination most suitable for those looking to get away from it all. We are an ideal base from which to visit many attractions including the Derrymore Springs Water Adventure Centre, Killucan. Nearby you can also visit the Belvedere House and Gardens Mullingar with its famous Jealous Wall, the Mullingar Arts Centre, the Midlands Regional Comhaltas Centre in Mullingar, the Hill of Uisneach, long regarded as the Mythological and Sacred centre of Ireland. Fore Abbey with its seven wonders is a short drive. Why not hire a boat or go fishing at Lilliput, Lough Ennell, Lough Owel and Lough Derravaragh.
