All of our bungalows are built based on eco friendly principles. Using 100% recycle timber, culturally sensitive, thermally comfortable with no aircon but using more natural innovative solutions, using LED lights to use as little energy as possible without leaving our guests needs of the modern comfort and luxury. Yabbiekayu bungalow homestay, built in a beautiful rice paddy location on the edge of the charming cultural, tourist village of Tembi, in Yogyakarta City. Our bungalow is supplied with luxury towels and bedding, and organic biodegradable soaps and shampoos, purified mineral water, tea and coffee facilities and comes with free hi speed WiFi and a Luxury breakfast. Your luxury breakfast includes a range of both western and Indonesian options such as home made muesli, fried rice, poached eggs on toast etc. Including espresso coffee or tea, fresh home made juices or fruit salads, home made yoghurt, wholemeal or sourdough breads, homemade jams etc. We run a small restaurants just a few steps from your bungalow, and our kitchen aim’s to provide every guest with a healthy, unique and memorable dining experience based on wholesome ingredients prepared with care and attention.

Neighbourhood information

Yabbiekayu’s home is located in Bantul, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The well known village of Tembi is located just 6klms south of Yogyakarta city, a 15min ride by motorbike, taxi or car, or on public buses that pass the village every few minutes, all of which our friendly staff can assist you with. Aside from visiting Yogyakarta and all it's many attractions the village of Tembi and it's surrounds are a worthwhile destination in its own right. There is much to do in the area including visits to our local handicrafts factory, batik shops, the Tembi Cultural Centre, Museum, Restaurant and Art gallery, nearby Gabusan Art Markets, Waterboom water park and the nearby historical tourist destination of the "Graveyard of the Kings" in Imogiri. Explore one of the many temples, caves, beaches and handicrafts villages around the area, or simply dine at our small restaurant and other nearby culinary attractions. Our staff are ready to advise and assist you in organising your own adventure.
