Rumah Nizar is an old wooden house which was built back in 1930 and has been passed down for four generations. The house is situated in the centre of Bukittinggi on Panorama Street, with only 5-minute walk to Ngarai Sianok and 10-minute walk to the famous Jam Gadang. Enjoy the country feel of Minang traditions and neighborhood, while being close enough to famous local attractions, culinary and souvenir shops.
The house is located in the heart of Bukittinggi. Famous attractions such as Jam Gadang and Ngarai Sianok are only a few minutes away from the house, which you can visit early in the morning to enjoy the beautiful sunrise view. Local restaurants can be found in the neighborhood, with a must try dish among many are Nasi Kapau and Lamang Tapai. Cafes, souvenir shops and convenience stores are only a few steps away from the house. Mostly everything can be reached within 5-10 minute walk from the house. However, public transportation such as local taxi (angkot) and horse carriage (bendi) can be accessed from the main street.
