Raja Ampat Blue Sea, hotel in Besir

Featuring an open-air bath, Raja Ampat Blue Sea offers accommodations in Besir. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace.

I loved the place! That reef that you see in the picture has the most amazing corals and sea life. It's perfect for snorkeling or just swimming. Paulus is a wonderful host, very proud of the beauty of the islands where he lives, and he will take you on an amazing trip to enjoy this paradise. He's very into nudibranches and little ocean creatures. He has few books about the ocean life in the dining room to enjoy. Regarding the bungalows, they are comfortable, with their own bathroom and a table to prepare your morning tea or coffee. They will bring you the rest of your breakfast. Lunch and dinner are really good! The atmosphere amongst the people who stay in the bungalows is nice and friendly. We all shared great times together, even though we met for one or 2 days. And the highlight of the accommodation is Paula, the cure cuscus who loves bananas. I'm so happy about choose this place to stay. I'll be happy to come back in the future!

This place is an amazing gem. We loved to be around nature, you could hear the animals across on the mangrove going about their day. The reef is a bit of a swim, but is in great condition - you can also see lots of unique marine life next to the rooms, where you have a mix of coral, grass and mangrove. Baby sharks swim the area in the mornings, and you can expect some exotic bird to fly by. Room was excellent for families, and food was prepared with care. Everyone at the property was super nice.

GAM BAY bungalow's, hotel in Besir

Amazing location. The view from the rooms was stunning! Aron, the owner, is a really kind and helpful guy, friendly and keen to help in anything you need. The food was good, and overall, the experience was wonderful. As a place in a remote island like this, you can't expect the best facilities but they were in good condition and clean. The bungalows, bathrooms, and dining area are well cared out and clean. There are nice spots around the island to watch the sunset and do snorkeling. They also offer great tours around the area.

Excellent location in a great island, in the core of Raja Ampat Islands Staff guides you very well, since you arrive Sorong Airport, through ferry in Waisai till arrving the lodge Different activities available: diving (main one), kayaking and visiting other islands. I really wanted to visit the Wayag - usually a min 3 people trip. I was solo, but they arranged a small boat for me Food is very good. Listening to our host's recommendations for places to see and what to do. We didnt follow a pre-scheduled list from online sources. We let local knowledge be our guides. This enhanced our experience. Embrace the food. Its tasty, its home cooked. Its local catch of the day, locally sourced fruits and vegetables. On one tour, Paulus our host pulled up to a boat and bought a fish. On our plates that evening!

Love the simple local life, nice to support the local Islanders. One major problem is, there isn't any recycling for plastic bottles etc. I spoke with some of the elders about this, but they simply said nothing has been organized to recycle rubbish especially plastic bottles. Definitely needs to be addressed. Marine life is so beautiful there.
