A unique, once in a lifetime experience of living with the sea. Your bed is _exactly_ 11m from the tame waters of the Adriatic sea. Wake up to smell the sea, jump for a quick swim before breakfast or for a refresh at dusk. Fall asleep to a soothing sound of long waves and distant fishing boats. Experience the life-altering holiday without the concept of "preparing to go to the beach"--you'll live on the beach! There is something special in being this close, almost like being assimilated by the sea. Surprise yourself by discovering the daily rhythm of the sea and winds as the day passes, how everything calms in time for dinner. Only a small number of houses along the 800 km of the Croatian coast are this close to the sea, and even less touch the friendly and tame seafront of the Zadar area. The shore opens to the south and west, and you'll enjoy amazing sunsets every dinner while being one with the sea. My father built this house by himself so that we can grow up by the sea. As I kid I used to jump in my boat moored in front, row to the sand beach on the island across, and come back in time for breakfast. It's a simple and welcoming place, a great value for an incredible summer memory. I'm putting it up for rent as sadly I have to travel for work and cannot enjoy the summers as I used to.
I grew up in this house, and love the idea of sharing with you this most incredible experience of living by the sea. I envy you that you'll stay there while I'm away. Hope you enjoy every minute, while Viki is taking care of the hospitality.
Zadar area is the flattest of the 800 km of the Croatian coast, which means it has the nicest access to the sea, and is easy to both walk and drive around. The village of Bibinje goes back to the roman times, and has its own interesting history. The area might not be the expensive luxury of Hvar or Brac, but Zadar area has all the charm of Dalmatia. The house is located in a very unique street built during communist times when people could build this close to the sea, in an area naturally protected from violent storms. The laws changed, it's no longer possible to build this close to the sea, and it's 50-ish or so houses are a unique view into a slice of Croatia's 20th-century history.
