This charming old stone house near the ferry landing is a convenient base for your island adventure. LGBTQ+ fam welcome! The house isn't perfect: it’s old, only partially renovated, and that shows in some places. The stairs are old and narrow, there's no AC (just fans, because AC is bad for the environment), the only bathroom is on the ground floor, you can hear the hum of the ferry at night, and three street cats call the terrace home. Nitpicky clean freaks seeking hotel-style perfection, people who need a bathroom nearby at night, people who have difficulty with stairs, people who can't take the heat, and people who dislike cats: please move on. This house isn't for you. Despite its imperfections, many people have loved their stay at my house. I'm new to this platform, but you can read years' worth of reviews on another major booking platform whose name we won't mention here, but that begins with A. The kitchen is stocked with basic equipment, you can use the washing machine, and the small outdoor terrace is lovely for dining alfresco. The terrace gets morning sun and is shady for the rest of the day. The single bedroom on the first floor (up one flight of stairs) features a flat screen for watching Netflix (if you have an account) or YouTube. The double bedroom (up two flights of stairs) has a small table and chair that could be used for computer work. If you don't feel like going upstairs for a nap, just settle into the comfy Fatboy beanbag in the living area and enjoy! As mentioned above, three street cats call the terrace home. Shiva will provide food if you enjoy interacting with cats and would like to feed them during your stay. If not, she or someone else will come onto the terrace once or twice a day to make sure they have food and water. If you don't like cats or are allergic to them, please book elsewhere.
