This summer house was built in 2018 and is located on the edge of Metaxata village in the south of the island just 6 KM from the airport and 9 KM from Argostoli. The summer house comprises of 1 bedroom with king size bed (170 x 200 )wardrobe and bedside tables, A large shower room with rain shower. An open plan lounge with sofa. A kitchen with:- A full cooker and dishwasher and a refrigerator and microwave and a dining area. There is a utility room with a washing machine, ironing board/ iron & cleaning materials. Enjoy dining and relaxing on the private terrace with sunloungers and sunlounger cushions, patio table and chairs. Metaxata village is in a semi-rural location (you will hear chickens, sheep & dogs and local works in the area) yet the nearest taverna/bar is 10 mins walk. The blue flag beach of Avithos is 40 minute walk or 10 minutes’ drive, here you will find 2 excellent restaurants. The summer house is located in the grounds of the owner’s villa which has a private pool and a designated area of the pool terrace with sunloungers/ umbrellas for guest's use. Thank you for looking at our summer house, Xarafailte located in Metaxata. We moved to Kefalonia in 2017and built the summer house in the grounds of our villa. Prior to moving, we visited Kefalonia twice yearly for the previous 10 years, we loved the relaxed way of life, the hospitality of the Greeks, the sunshine and all that Kefalonia has to offer. Mountains, valleys, walks, lakes, beaches, bygone villages, traditions. We thought it would be lovely to share our Kefalonia experience and look forward to welcoming our guests.

Xarafailte is located in a semi rural location on the edge of Metaxata Village approx 8 KM from the airport. You can walk to the blue flag Avithos beach in about 30-40 minutes or 10 minute drive. Many beaches can be found within a 10-15 minute drive. About a 5 minute drive away is the castle which has fabulous far reaching views and the superb Kastro Cafe located at the castle entrance is a great place for a meal, snack and delicious cakes....all homemade. The village has a traditional Slouvaki grill taverna within walking distance and many restaurants/tavernas with a 5-10 minute drive. The nearest supermarket is 8 minutes drive away. Argostoli, the capital is 9 KM distant.
