It is a quiet and friendly neighborhood which during high seasons, such as holidays or summer vacations, might lead to additional noise and activity due to more tourists or out of town visitors in the area. This could include people chatting outside, children playing, more motorbike activity etc. The village has a basketball court, two playgrounds and a dog park. On the island cars are not allowed. As Ligoneri village is small getting around is mainly done on foot. If you have a motorbike or moppet license renting one to get you going places could also be an option. There is a bus almost every hour from the center of Spetses to Ligoneri and vice versa. The island has 4 taxis that could be also used under reservation. When arriving one can find at the harbour small trucks that at a small price could transport your luggage until the village.
