Continuing your expedition, you can march into the famous “Dimosari Canyon”, one of the deepest canyons in Europe. Don't leave without having visited the Venetian Fortress of “Bourtzi’ built in the 13th century, the ruins of the Venetian castle named “Castello Rosso” (the Red Castle), built in 1030, the ancient marble quarries, both at nearby hamlet of Myloi, the “Yokaleion Cultural Center’s Museum” in the city of Karystos and the Orthodox monasteries of “Taxiarches”, “St. George” and “St. Mavra”.
