Large windows bring natural light and fresh Aegean air into the house creating truly bright and airy interiors. Walls dressed in earth tone colors blend harmoniously with old wood furniture, artwork and soft fabrics, inducing a sense of calmness and a feeling of coziness. Ruby’ summer house features: - a large master bedroom with a queen-sized double bed, luxury bedding, a stylish boudoir and a twin-bedded bedroom with premium bedding. My name is Rambelia, but feel free to call me Ruby. I'm an English teacher and I live in Athens, Greece, most of the time. In the summer, I move to Andros, where I spend my holidays with my family. I'm an easy-going, cheerful and outgoing person and I love meeting people from all over the world! I love being outdoors and swimming on the island's crystal-clear waters and do water sports, such as waterskiing and SUP. I also love cooking for my family and friends - you should try my chocolate muffins! I can also speak French fluently. My goal is to make you feel at home and make your stay as comfortable as possible. I welcome you personally at the property and offer you complete privacy. Ruby's house, full of comfort and with a classic and refined style, is situated in a quiet residential area in the heart of Gavrio, the picturesque port of Andros. Thanks to its location, cafes, tavernas, bars, bakeries, supermarkets, banks, a medical centre and pharmacy are within walking distance (500 m) from the house while the most beautiful sandy beaches, such as Agios Petros beach, Chrissi Ammos beach, Kypri beach, Fellos beach can be reached within 10 min. by car. Also, Zorgos and Vitali beaches are 6,8 and 6,2 miles respectively away from the port. What makes Gavrio a unique place to stay is the fact that it is the starting point for day trips and tours around the island. At the port, there are taxis and local buses that run regularly in the summer and can take you to all local attractions and sights. If you wish to rent a car or a scooter, there is variety of car and motorbike rentals you can choose from for your daily trips. Places of interest nearby are the tower of Agios Petros and a little further Palaiopolis, the ancient capital of Andros, with its Archeological museum, the cosmopolitan Batsi with lots of cafes and tavernas, Chora with its neoclassical mansions and the plethora of tourist attractions, such the Archaeological Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Maritime Museum, Tourlitis Lighthouse and little further Apoikia village with Pithara Waterfalls and Menites village with its natural water springs. Andros is home to a wide network of pathways that narrate the island's history, thus making it the ideal place for nature and hiking lovers. Hiking is Andros is a unique experience as travelers will enjoy unspoilt nature and stunning scenery. As there is no airport on the island, Andros can only be reached by ferry from Rafina port, near Athens. The journey lasts two hours. Important note: Water is not potable so guests should buy bottled water from Massoutis and AB Vassilopoulos local supermarkets.
