Hi! I'm Amalia. I was born in Corfu and raised in the family house upstairs from Olivia Mare. I'm a Molecular Biologist, and in 2016, I moved to the Netherlands to follow my dreams and pursue a PhD at Utrecht University. As I began then to have my first savings, the idea of building my own house in Corfu started to take shape in my mind. The sense of relaxation in Astrakeri and the clear summer night sky - - full of stars - always fascinated me. Without realizing it, the Olivia Mare project gave greater purpose to the long hours spent in the microscopy room. Since 2021, I've been working as a Scientist in Utrecht. When I'm not in the laboratory or working on Olivia Mare, I love to travel the world and play board games with my international friends. I hope you enjoy your stay at Olivia Mare!
