NOT MODERN: The house was built in 1860, it is a traditional, old house, not a modern one. NOT QUIET: Very central location, lively and convenient, not too quiet. A/C YES: There is air-conditioning in the 2 main bedrooms and a ceiling fan on the naturally cooler ground floor. GARBAGE BINS: 500m from the house WIFI YES: Wi-fi available (24 Mbps). PAXOS IS A SMALL ISLAND: This means occasional water or power shortages, insects, sewage issues (not throwing waste in the toilet), no garbage collection, bad weather conditions and lack of transportation to the mainland. But all that aside, it is an amazing, beautiful little island. ROOMS The ground floor consists of a large, open plan living room, with dining area, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a modern bathroom. The upper floor consists of 1 bedroom with 1 double bed and 1 single bed and 1 bedroom with 2 single beds. The house sleeps up to 4 persons comfortably. The private courtyard overlooking the piazzeta is the ideal place for breakfast or dinner 'al fresco'. HISTORY The house was built in 1860, it has been partially refurbished over the years while maintaining its historic character. The exposed stone walls and the wooden beams testify the craftmanship of the original builders. The vintage decoration is enriched with antiques and memorabilia. WHO IS IT FOR Anyone who enjoys the hustle and bustle of the central location. Anyone who wants to be a stone’s throw from the old port (marina, boats, sea taxis to Antipaxos), grocery stores, bakeries, cafes, restaurants, bars etc. It is not a quiet location, but a lively and convenient one.
