Located at the foot of Mount Ushba, this hotel is between Mazeri and Tvebishi, just 23 km west of Mestia in Upper Svaneti. Offering a restaurant, and views of the Caucasian mountains, guests can enjoy a little library and reading balcony. Each cosy room comes with mountain views and free WiFi. The private or shared bathrooms come with either a bath or shower. Excellent local food and Georgian wines are on offer at the restaurant. There are some restaurants and cafes to try in Mestia which is a 20-minute drive away. Numerous activities are available in the surrounding area, including hiking, skiing, cycling and horse riding.   • Hello, is it possible to drive ( with our rented jeep) from the Grand Hotel to the Hikers Café to start walking from that point to the Ushba glacier? In what condition is the road? And the walking trail? Thanks Els Belgium

    Yes, it is a possible to drive from April to November, before the snow comes. It is a good dirt road.
