Located on the breath taking Isle of Wight, Under the Stars Shepherds Huts at Harbors Lake offers an opportunity to relax, disconnect and experience a slower pace of life, in unique, glamping style, in the form of traditionally built shepherd huts; 'Sukey' and 'Nell' are located in a rural setting with neighbouring sheep! Or if you prefer, as a base to enjoy all local beaches, water sports and fabulous places to visit that the island has to offer. Our accommodation offers spectacular countryside and lake views, a comfortable double bed, kitchenette with hob, microwave, a seated area with table and a traditional log burner or electric burner for cosy evenings in. A private En Suite, offers a flushing toilet and power shower with lashings of hot water. Whilst outside you can enjoy alfresco dining on your private decked area to watch the sunset or for a spot of star gazing with cosy blankets provided. For guests staying 2 nights of more a BBQ and complimentary charcoal is available. A local breakfast platter can be ordered the day before. An iron and hairdryer are available if required. Free car parking allows you to take a greener approach to travel on the island, there is a regular bus service - no8 which can be accessed at the end of the lane and cycle paths for those energetic guests who wish to explore the island off the beaten track. (Bikes can be hired in Shanklin, the next village) Although set in this beautiful. rural location, there are many local eateries for breakfast or evening meal within walking or cycling distance: The Fighting Cocks and The Pointer Inn offer amazing cuisine. Rob and Tracy Welcome you for their second season at Under the Stars Shepherd Huts at Harbors Lake and are your hosts during your stay. We will greet you on arrival at our private free parking area. Any problems locating us just ring, and we can assist you with your luggage and show you to your shepherds hut which is a short field walk away. We live adjacent to the your glamping area and so if you have any queries just let us know by text or call,, we are happy to try to help. We look forward to welcoming you very soon!! We are Dog friendly - There is no additional charge to bring well behaved 'woofs' to Under the Stars however we do ask that they are kept on a lead and are supervised at all times, as we have sheep and lambs (behind an electric fence) in the glamping area. If you are able to bring dog towels that is helpful for rainy days. We also ask that pooches are not left in the Shepherd Huts alone at any time. Most Island pubs and restaurants are really accommodating and dogs are welcome in many venues which is fantastic and inclusive.

Where do we start? The Garlic Farm is a short 5 min drive or cycle with specialised garlic menu in their Cafe and a farm shop to sample the very unusual - garlic ice cream! Amazon World Zoo is a few minutes walk as well as Thompsons Garden Centre home of Alan Titmarsh. Local nursery Ager Farm have a huge variety local plants and produce. Hollier Park offers Emporium, furniture shop and bus/tube cafe a short walk from site. The donkey sanctuary is 20 min drive. As mentioned the Fighting Cocks Pub and The Pointer Inn in Newchurch village are all dog friendly. A new attraction 10 mins walk via footpath is Goddards Brewery open to view brewing processes and sample fine ale with its own balconied restaurant. We have the most amazing beaches from West Wight to Bembridge to Shanklin and Sandown seafronts (15 mins by car) as well as cream teas at Godshill or Quarr Abbey we could go on and on not forgetting The Wildlife Trust (Sandown Zoo) There are also so many hidden footpaths for walkers and ramblers to explore and the Sandown to Newport vehicle free cycle path. And of course the home of the Isle of Wight Festival and much more!
