Fantastic base for exploring everything North Devon has to offer: wildlife, walking, cycling, surfing, family friendly sandy beaches and rocky coves, many attractions for all ages and tastes, 1 mile from the beautiful Tarka Trail, thatched pubs, 15 mins from Great Torrington with thriving local shops, 20 mins from Bideford, near Dartmoor, Exmoor, Bodmin. Fully equipped large family accommodation with plenty of room for seven guests. Thorne Shippon has at it's heart a large farmhouse kitchen dining room that comfortably seats everyone for family meals or games around the huge dining table in the evenings. There is also a separate lounge with French doors out to an East facing seating area, perfect for al fresco breakfast in the morning sunshine. With two large bedrooms upstairs and a single downstairs there is plenty of flexible accommodation to suit a variety of family configurations. Both upstairs bedrooms enjoy lovely countryside views and the main bedroom benefits from its own en suite toilet and wash basin. There are two further bathrooms: upstairs with a bath and shower, and then a downstairs shower room beside the downstairs bedroom. Outside there is a rear garden in which to relax, barbecue or simply watch the stunning Devon sunsets resulting form the elevated location. Thorne Shippon has its own Broadband connection but please be aware that speeds are typically around 4 mbs as there is no fibre connection. Due to the rural nature of our location, mobile phone signals can be weak. In order to experience the rural seclusion that Thorne Shippon offers a car is essential as there is no public transport.
