Set in the tranquil Northern Irish countryside, The Vandees offers boutique bed and breakfast accommodation. Free private parking is possible on site, and free Wi-Fi is accessible throughout. Located in a quaint country house in the secluded hamlet of Aghalee, The Vandees is decorated with stylish, contemporary furnishings to ensure a relaxing, peaceful stay. The surroundings encourage a pleasant, social atmosphere, and the house has its own spacious garden and lounge with TV for guests to enjoy. All rooms have their own private bathroom with complimentary toiletries. The comfortable, high quality beds ensure a good night’s sleep. A traditional cooked Ulster breakfast, or alternatively a Continental breakfast, is included in the room rate. Breakfast includes locally sourced produce and sausages and black pudding from an award-winning butcher. Local pubs and restaurants are less than a 10-minute drive away. Guests receive a complimentary glass of red or white wine during their stay. Belfast International Airport is 14 miles from the property. Lough Neagh can be reached in less than 10 minutes by car.

  • What are transportation options from Belfast to your place?

    The transport option you have is coming on the Newry/Portadown train service and exit at Moira.You would then have to get a taxi to us as we are in the countryside.We can pick u up from the station but it depends on how many people?

Our home is situated in a secluded area and surrounded by the green fields of the beautiful Northern Irish countryside. We are 30 min away from the bright lights of the city so perfect for guests who are seeking a peaceful and relaxing break. We grow our own vegetables and I love to cook especially fresh soda bread and banana bread for breakfast. Noreen's nettle tea has become a guest favourite along with her homemade nettle hair tonic which are both available to buy during your stay.
Aghalee is a small hamlet 30 min outside Belfast and a 5min drive from Lough Neagh.It borders counties Armagh,Antrim and Down and is therefore and ideal base for exploring Northern Ireland.It situated on Route 94 of the National Cycle Network which consists of quiet country roads.The village consists of a grocery store/post office/off license, fish & chip shop and chinese takeaway.
