THE RED HOUSE The Red House offers friendly, value for money bed and breakfast accommodation in comfortable and relaxing surroundings, 5-minutes´ walk from Grantham's town centre. We have a 4-star rating from Visit England. The Red House is an historic Grade II listed Georgian townhouse, dating from 1795, and retains many of its original features. We are easily accessible from the A1 and A52, and a 2-minute taxi ride from Grantham train station. There is ample free parking in front of the house. ROOMS We have single, double, twin, triple and family guest rooms. Most of our rooms have ensuite facilities. Others rooms have a private bathroom, not shared with other guests. Two of our rooms have shared facilities. Our rooms are furnished to a high standard and are equipped with televisions , mini-fridges, microwaves, coffee and tea making facilities, irons and ironing boards, hair dryers, fans, and crockery. BREAKFAST Breakfast costs £8.50 per guest. It is served between 7.30 and 8.30 a.m. on weekdays and between 8.00 and 9.00 a.m. at weekends. Grantham, a medieval market town, is famous for St John's School where Sir Isaac Newton was a pupil and is also the birthplace of Margaret Thatcher, the first women Prime Minister. It is close to the A1 and one of the main stations on the main East Coast main railway line. Grantham has many fine buildings, several good pubs, coaching inns and restaurants, and an attractive market place. There's a weekly cattle market and bustling Saturday street market.
