Sleeps 4 in 2 double rooms. This beautiful apartment was completely refurbished in 2024 to a high standard. Two simple and super comfortable double bedrooms sit either side of the central hallway, with a large vestibule area at one end, and a great kitchen/sitting room at the other. There’s a good-sized shower room and loo, too. 15 minutes from Chester. 45 minutes from Liverpool & Manchester. 2 hours from London. The Old Stables building is home to a working warehouse, two offices and connects up to several event spaces. So you are likely to see lots of our team around, and there will likely be a few dogs around too. Say hi! The team is very friendly.
Hawarden Estate runs to several thousand acres of rolling wood and farmland and is best known as the home of four times Prime Minister to Queen Victoria, William Gladstone. Its foundations are ancient, but its outlook is exceptionally modern and it is home to a multi-award winning Farm Shop and restaurant, Wales’s AA Pub of the Year 2019, The Good Life Society and lots more. It is just inside Wales and within 15 minutes of Chester station making it at once uniquely secluded and accessible. Hawarden provides an excellent jumping off place for trips to Snowdonia, the North Wales coast and indeed Liverpool and Manchester.
Hawarden Estate is one of Britain’s most creative, forward-thinking, storied and beautiful private estates. We truly believe we have something for everyone. Come to the Farm Shop for lunch, book a masterclass at our Walled Garden School, play games and records late into the night, pick your own fruit, eat pastries fresh from the on-site bakery. We really do have it all! Please note: This flat does not come with outdoor space or a garden, and does not include access to the Estate, the Old Castle, the parkland, the lake, and so on. Private signs, gates and maps must be adhered to. The Old Stables building is home to a working warehouse, two offices and connects up to several event spaces. So you are likely to see lots of our team around, and there will likely be a few dogs around too. Say hi! The team is very friendly.
