The annex is entirely self contained with a small kitchen area equipped with a fridge, hob and multi function oven. There is a kettle and complimentary tea and coffee bags and a jug of fresh milk in the fridge. I serve breakfast in your room at a time of your choosing from 7.30 to 9.30 am, and whilst the menu is small, I have concentrated on serving locally sourced ingredients from our excellent butcher, Cobbs, in Cheddar and homemade bread rolls. The eggs are either from my daughters chickens or a local supplier.I serve a pot of fresh coffee and/or a pot of tea with your breakfast in the morning and local apple juice when available. There is a large driveway for parking and secure facilities for bicycles overnight. You can walk easily to both the beautiful reservoir and the gorge from our location as well as a really superb choice of restaurants and pubs. If you are looking for a day out to remember after you have climbed the spectacular Cheddar Gorge, I can highly recommend ( from personal experience) a chocolate making course in a village outside Glastonbury. It is run by the renowned chocolatier, Jane Swayne from Gilbert and Swayne and is both fun and informal, running for 5-6 hrs including a light lunch with wine. All ingredients are supplied with a minimum of 70 amazing chocolates to take away with you.
