The Old Dairy Wakes Colne is a single story newly renovated barn conversion situated on a rural working farm within the Essex countryside. Offering unspoilt views and an enclosed garden it is the perfect place to enjoy the peaceful environment within this wifi free accommodation. Yet just over a mile away is the village of Chappel which offers a recently renovated pub, convenience store, post office , Chappel Millenium gardens and a children’s play area. The property has private ample parking for up to 4 cars on site. Kitchen The open plan kitchen , dining living space is perfect for entertaining or relaxing. The fully equipped shaker style kitchen includes, an oven, 4 ring hob, extractor fan, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, dining area with table and 4 chairs. The living area has 2 sofas, a chair and a flat screen TV. The vaulted room enjoys plenty of natural light and the bifold doors lead onto the patio and gardens enabling guests to take in the views of the picturesque countryside. Bedrooms The property features 2 ensuite bedrooms. Bedroom one has a king sized bed with and is ensuite with a shower, WC and basin. The room is light and airy with bedside cabinets, chest of drawers and clothes hanging area. Bedroom 2 contains two single beds and is ensute with shower over the bath, WC and basin. It mirrors bedroom one and its vaulted ceiling means it is also a bright room, with storage for clothing. Bed linen and towels are provided. Utility Should guests be seeking a longer stay the accommodation does include a utility room, with the use of a washing machine, stainless steel sink and ample storage for cleaning supplies.
The Old Dairy is situated within 9 miles from Britain’s oldest recorded town, Colchester. Less than a mile to the nearest train station in Chappel and 29 miles to London Stansted airport. Ideally located the property is close to many attractions including, East Anglian railway museum, Colchester Castle, Colchester Zoo, Marks Hall Gardens and Arboretum, Beth Chatto Gardens, Melford Hall.
