We welcome you to stay at The Limes, our family home near Great Missenden in the beautiful county of Buckinghamshire. We pride ourselves in providing a great service for all our guests with lots of local activities and knowledge to share. The Limes is a large, secluded, beautifully presented country house set in the Chiltern Hills near Great Missenden village (the home of Roahl Dahl). This rural location features a large established garden (1.5 acres) with outdoor swimming pool & Hot Tub** which is heated upto 28*c from May - Sept (**CLOSED Oct thru April inclusive) with stunning views across fields and hills and glorious sunsets through the season. Recently redecorated to a high standard with a new bathroom suite, plus a new 8 person Swedish Hot-Tub by the pool which has a wood fired stove. The 5th bedroom is the Summer house in the garden (available upon request). There's a large patio area with round table & parasol, a decked pergola with stunning views and many other seating areas, a swing in the large chestnut tree & a swing bench under the willow. There are garden games in the box near the veggie patch which is where we keep our rare breed chickens (please ask about bringing dogs to stay). London is only 30 miles away.
We are hosts operating in the UK and welcome you to stay at The Limes, our family home near Great Missenden. We also have a penthouse apartment in central London. These properties are available all year round and are listed on Air Bnb. Lisa & I both travel all over the world, and as guests we use this website to find beautiful places to stay and to discover new places and meet new and interesting people.
The house is 1 mile from Great Missenden and is connected to footpaths and a lovely circular walk around the local stud farm where there are numerous horses and other animals. One of these paths takes you up onto the famous Ridgeway path that runs the length of The Chiltern Hills and passes through Combe Hill (noted in the 100 Best Views in England book by Simon Jenkins). We have an information manual in the kitchen which gives you lots of information about local pubs, restaurants and things to see and do. There are also multiple maps of the area for walking enthusiasts.
