Set in the beautiful Dovedale Valley, The Izaak Walton is a 17th-century hotel with spectacular views across the Derbyshire countryside, known for its fishing streams, a log fireplace in the front hotel lounge and an additional log fireplace with traditional oak beamed ceilings in the Bar area. A seating area, tea and coffee facilities and a TV feature in all rooms at The Izaak Walton Hotel. Each private bathroom includes a selection of toiletries and a hairdryer. The Haddon Restaurant offers fine dining and views over Thorpe Cloud Hill and Dovedale. You can go fishing in one of Derbyshire's finest trout streams, the River Dove, which is just 200 metres away and was made famous in "The Complete Angler". Scenic walks are possible in the surrounding Peak District countryside. The historic market town of Ashbourne is a 10-minute drive away and Alton Towers Theme Park is 20 minutes’ drive from the hotel. Haddon Hall and the historic Chatsworth House are a 25-minute drive away. The hotel will not accept responsibility for incorrect bookings through this site.
