  • Hello, can you tell me about the heating in the pod of five beds?

    The five person pods have oil filled bar heaters under each bed. We have also added in an additional oil filled radiator for the Winter months. We still recommend during the winter months that guests bring sleeping bags or high tog rated duvets.

  • does each pod have its own bathroom? or does all the pods share 1 big shared bathroom

    Hi , The pods share a facilities block with other pod users. Think of the pods as a very warm wooden tent with beds, mattresses and electricity. Guests must also bring their own bed linen.

We're delighted to introduce our new Pod Village - The Hive, which opened in 2022. You can now enjoy a breakaway in one of our 9 heated pods which are nestled in our woodland area here at Ghyll Head. The opportunities are endless here in the stunning Lake District. In addition to the Pod Village we also are pleased to offer our Accessible Bungalow to Groups and families. Designed to be barrier free this is a great location for wheelchair users and visitors with limited mobility. Just a stones throw away from Lake Windermere and with an amazing array of fabulous walking and mountain-biking routes on the door step our Pods are a great base to allow you to explore this superb part of the country. Our location is second to none with Bowness-on-Windermere just three miles away with its bustling bars, restaurants and shops should you want to mix it up.
