Hi we are very please to welcome guests to our farm suite. For some years we have been welcoming guests to our holiday cottages and cabin that are not far from the farm, but in 2021 we took on the huge project of a neglected farmhouse which is Waddock Farm and its land. With the vision of restoring a very downtrodden but stunning building we set to work clearing and renovating. We opened The Dairyman Suite in June 2022. We continue to renovate the farm over the coming years, making it our forever home. I am an artist and my wife is an author and holistic thrapist. We share our home with our Springer Spaniel.

Impormasyon ng accommodation

Set in 4 acres of fields and woodland, surrounded by countryside, Waddock Farm is an historic thatched building of interest. A painting of the house hangs in the Victoria and Albert Museum. The original house was built in the 17th Century and added onto over the next 100 years. The final building finished in 1797. The Dairyman Suite is in the oldest part of the building and has undergone extensive renovation within 2022. This is the only part of the house that is let to guests. Guests have a private entrance from a key safe.The large gardens are laid to lawn with extensive views over ancient woodland and open fields. Guests have access to the garden, picnic area, and loungers. Guests are also welcome to feed the free range chickens, and even take home fresh eggs. A delicious hamper with fresh pastries, fruit, coffee and more is left outside your door every morning. The suite has a large room with king bed, dining area, TV, Sky, seating, tea and coffee and a small fridge. The bathroom has a huge double shower. The suite is up stairs therefore unsuitable for disabled access . Adults only. No pets allowed.

Waddock is a small hamlet set between the villages of Affpuddle and Moreton. 8 miles from the main market town of historic Dorchester and 10 mile from the bustling seaside of Weymouth with extensive sandy beaches. Moreton is home to the grave of Lawrence of Arabia. The area is surrounded by ancient woodland and beautiful walks. Close by is Monkey World, The Tank Museum and a host of other attractions. Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are a 20 minute drive. The local tearoom offers good food, meals and cream teas. There are a host of beautiful walks with stunning views. Ideal as a base for visiting Dorset villages, local attractions or as a stop over on your travels. The local pub is the Frampton Arms and offers delicious well priced meals, booking is not essential but advised in busy periods.
