A high quality Boutique B&B situated in Alverton, a small Vale of Belvoir Hamlet. Three king size, four poster bed, garden suites surrounded by three acres of gardens and open countryside. All are set in the converted coach house and stable block, with views across the gardens. Breakfast features high quality, locally produced, sourced, home grown or homemade produce, and is served in the main house. When weather permits we offer breakfast on the walled garden terrace, with views across the Vale to St Mary's Church Bottesford and Belvoir Castle. A truly wonderful start to the day! Bevoir Castle, Belton House and many other National Trust properties are all within a short drive. Eden Hall Day Spa is only 15 minutes drive and can offer a wonderful, relaxing and indulgent addition to your stay.
Kelly and David met when they were 18 and always dreamed of one day owning a beautifully curated Boutique Bed &Breakfast. Kelly was brought up on a Yorkshire farm B&B, where the love of the outdoors, providing great hospitality and food, were a way of life. David spent over 32 years in Sports, Outdoor and Fashion businesses, travelling the world extensively and staying in many 5 star hotels. Over this time he became bored of the standard hotel offer and always tried to seek out small special places, run by passionate owners, to make his travel more interesting and enjoyable. Now after bringing up five children they are finally putting all of their passions and experience together, to offer the high quality, hospitality experience, they always dreamed of creating. Kelly's passion is food, foraging and home brewing, along with her five children and the many animals that live on The Chestnuts Country House small holding. Kelly always looks to create interesting seasonal breakfast menus, picking seasonal fruit that morning to make into a compote to have on your fresh Greek Yoghurt.
The historic town of Newark Upon Trent is only 8 miles away with its Castle, Historic market square, Civil war museum and Antique shops. Many wonderful country pubs and restaurants serve great food in the surrounding villages. In summer they can provide a great halfway point to a walk around Kilvington Lakes or to the village of Orston. Bevoir Castle, Belton House and many other National Trust properties are all within a short drive. Eden Hall Day Spa is only 15 minutes drive and can offer a wonderful, relaxing and indulgent addition to your stay.
