The Anchorage was built circa 1913 and boasts a luxurious interior with fantastic outside space where guests can relax and admire the amazing views. The Anchorage consists of two ensuite Double bedrooms and a Twin room plus a family bathroom giving guests plenty of space with their own facilities. The bedrooms also have their own smart TV's. The beautiful living room with dining table comes with a 55" smart tv and a large wood burning stove for those cosy nights whilst the newly fitted kitchen has everything required for guest to use during their stay Outside there is a full size Pizza oven and BBQ plus a Fire Pit with benches for the more adventurous guests. There is also a playroom with Table tennis, a pool table, table football and many other games to use plus swings and a trampoline. A fully lit large decking area is the perfect place to sit and admire the views whilst dinning or enjoying a glass of wine. The front garden has a shared entrance with the neighbour however the back is completely private. During 2019 we have extensively upgraded the Anchorage from top to bottom giving it a modern feel with a Scottish theme whilst it still retains its rustic charm.

Hi all. I love the outdoors and that is why Arrochar is so special to myself and my family. I purchased the property in 2012 as a holiday home as it has everything surrounding it that I love yet is not far away from amenities. I Love Kayaking on the sea loch with all the wildlife and the calmness and I really wish my guests to have the chance to experience it as well. There are 3 sit on Kayaks that are incredibly easy to use ( a double and 2 singles) and are very safe. Guests can use them free of charge supplied with life jackets and waterproof shoes if they wish. There is an amazing walk from the back garden that takes you up the Glebe (old church land) to the path that is the 3 loch's way. The views are spectacular and well worth the effort. The area is unspoilt with so much Scottish history and things to do so if you book the cottage it will be a fantastic experience. However if you wish to stay and relax the cottage has plenty of things to keep you busy. David

David’s place is located in Argyll and Bute, Scotland, United Kingdom. The Anchorage is just a short stroll away from the famous Village Inn where guests can enjoy a drink in the bar or sit down in their beautiful restaurant to enjoy a meal. Across the water sit the Arrochar Alps with the infamous Cobbler being the hill to climb and the views themselves are well worth the effort. The whole area is steeped in history from the Vikings sailing up the loch to plunder Loch Lomond, to the many Scottish Clans that have made their mark on Arrochar. The local church is a beautiful building with a very old graveyard and well worth a look. The Anchorage is a great base to use to go travelling around Argyll and beyond with Inveraray just a half hour drive and Loch Lomond also on it's doorstep. Being next to the water there is a wide choice of activities for everyone to enjoy including fishing, Kayaking or combing the pebble beach and the wildlife includes Porpoises, Gannets, Little Auks, Cormorants, the odd whale plus so much more. You can watch the deer on the hill from the garden or the many birds of prey.
