Strathardle Lodge is such a hidden gem - it was the perfect base for us while we explored the Cairngorms. The hotel has everything you need and we felt super welcome. Will definitely stay here again!

Company information

We are new owners of Strathardle Lodge. We moved to Scotland in March 2023 from Hertfordshire England, after traveling to Scotland for the last 5 years we decided to change our lives and make Scotland our permanent home. We now live and run Strathardle Lodge and it’s like a dream come true. Kirkmichael is a perfect location for our little family of three. We enjoy walking our dog Floyd and taking bike rides with our son.

Property information

Enjoy a relaxing and peaceful break at this 18th century country Lodge. A former Drover’s Inn set in a mixture of woodland and open fields, with stunning views of the surrounding hills of the Perthshire Highlands. Strathardle Lodge is a Guest House and Residential Cake School. There are regular classes with Paul Bradford who has made cakes for the Queen, Prince Charles and Prince Albert of Monaco. He has taught all over the world, but has always dreamt of running classes in this beautiful location, which enhances creativity. We welcome you to relax by the open fire in our lounge or honesty bar area where you can help yourself to beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks as well as snacks. If you are looking for an evening meal the Kirky restaurant is just 500m away, but if you prefer to stay at the Lodge then you can relax and help yourself to microwave meals at the bar. With only 9 letting rooms, we are able to provide our guests with the personal touch. If you don't want to leave your dog at home... then bring him too!!
